Our Elementary School (1st-3rd grade) is designed to build a foundation, in all subject areas, while encouraging students to become critical thinkers. Our curriculum is aligned with, and exceeds, the Indiana Academic Standards with an integrated Biblical worldview.  The Elementary school day is 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.   PK-5th grade classes are offered at our East Campus; K-2nd grade classes are offered at our North Campus.

Elementary teachers (100% licensed) and staff work together to create a positive learning environment that will challenge students to do their personal best while equipping students to apply what they are learning in authentic ways.  We place an emphasis on critical thinking skills; integration of technology; and the development of social skills, study skills, creativity, self-expression, and individual learning styles.

Parents and teachers work diligently and cooperatively to encourage students to excel while emphasizing the importance of being responsible for one’s own learning and progress.

Elementary students are challenged to read and write in response to learning in all subject areas.  In math, students learn computation skills along with more complex problem solving and mathematical practices.  Science is inquiry-based, focusing on scientific investigation and critical thinking.  Social Studies focuses on geography skills, history, and understanding community.

In 1st grade, our maximum class size is typically 18 students per class. In grades 2 – 5, our typical maximum class size is 22 students with a maximum of 24. Our average class size is currently 18 students per class with a student-teacher ratio of 13 to 1.
