Intermediate School (4th and 5th grade) is designed to build on the foundation laid in the elementary years and to prepare students for middle school.  The program at ECS follows a departmentalized structure with each teacher licensed for their specific subject, e.g. math, science, art, etc.  The Intermediate School day is 8 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

Key features include a Christ-centered curriculum that is rigorous and relevant; a safe, nurturing environment that helps students develop positive peer relationships; and an extensive media and technology emphasis that prepares them with the essential skills necessary to prepare for today’s global landscape.

In addition, students work on projects, individually and in teams, which integrate various subjects across the curriculum.  We also focus on character development and guide students as they sharpen the organizational, study, and presentation skills needed to be successful.

Students have opportunities to enhance their leadership qualities, strengthen their level of responsibility, hone their acts of worship, and glorify God.  We partner with parents to guide and inspire children through adolescence.

4th and 5th grade students are able to participate in a wide-range athletics and extracurricular activities/club as they discover and develop their gifts and talents.
