Back to School Open House Events
Important dates and details will be emailed to all families during the summer before school starts.
Preschool through 6th grade parents will be invited to attend Back to School Open Houses where families will be able to learn who the homeroom teacher will be and visit the classroom. The teacher will provide a packet of important classroom and campus information.
Parents of new 6th-12th grade students will be required (one parent) to attend a Technology Information Night where the acceptable use policy will be reviewed.
High school students and their parents will be notified of the Bookstore hours when they will receive their schedule, locker assignment, textbooks, and Chromebook (if Tech Information Night was attended). Families are also invited to attend the High School Open House to meet the teachers and visit classrooms.
Communication from School & Teachers
The primary way that ECS communicates with parents is through email, so please check it often! Every Friday that school is in session, a Friday Flyer is emailed to all parents and 6th-12th grade students with vital school information as well as pictures, highlights, and news from all campuses!
The superintendent and principals send important updates and announcements via email frequently. Preschool and elementary teachers email classroom information to parents often. At the middle and high school levels, we expect the students to take more ownership of their academic responsibilities, so fewer teacher-to-parent emails are sent for these grades. However parents should always feel welcome to contact a teacher to discuss their student.
For elementary, middle, and high school students, and grades (when missing or failing) and attendance notifications are automatically generated via email to the parent.
Billing statements are emailed monthly as well as important financial information from the Business Office.
Family Handbook
The ECS Family Handbook is updated each year and is available on the Parents page of the school website. The purpose of our handbook is to provide a framework of mutual understanding as the school, parents, and students all have important roles in a successful school experience for the glory of God.
FACTS Parent Portal Login
FACTS is our online School Information System where parents can find students’ schedules, grades, and more. You can also find and update family contact information, authorized adults on pick-up list, and access FACTS Financial for billing.
Click here for the FACTS Family Portal and enter the District Code ECS-IN.
Apply for Choice Scholarship & Financial Aid
After submitting your child’s online enrollment packet, the admission process for attending ECS is complete and your child is officially an Eagle!
A staff member from the Business Office will contact you with instructions to apply for financial aid options, including the Indiana Choice Scholarship and tuition assistance from ECS.
School Calendar with Drop-Off & Dismissal Times
At the top of our school calendar, you’ll find the drop-off and dismissal times for each grade level. To accommodate families with students in different grade levels, the school day start and end times are staggered to allow time for transportation among campuses.
Dress Code
The dress code at ECS is designed to further our mission and philosophy of education, be easy to understand, be easy to enforce, be affordable minimize rules, and maximize values. Our desire is to instill values of modesty and train our children to have an overall perspective that will survive the ever-changing fashion cycles.
Students do not wear uniforms; however, the students do follow a dress code and the policy is available in the Family Handbook.
Medical Forms, Records, & Plans to Health Coordinator
ECS employs trained health coordinators at every campus.
In accordance with regulatory requirements and guidelines of the State of Indiana Board of Health, ECS is required to have a copy of the student’s physical and immunization history in the student’s file.
When a student has an Asthma Action Plan, Allergy Action Plan, or other medical plan, documentation that is signed by the physician must be updated each year and provided to the health coordinator before the first day of school.
At the high school level, the ECS Athletic Department adheres to IHSAA requirements, and a sports physical is required each year. Please refer to the ECS Athletics website for links to IHSAA forms.
When you request medical records to be sent to ECS, please email to [email protected] or fax to 812.469.0261.
School Supply Lists
The school supply lists for the 24/25 school year will be posted when available.

Breakfast & Lunch Menus
Menus are available monthly for the following campuses with food service: Crossroads, Elementary, and Middle School. Paper copies are available in school offices as well as on the Wellness page of the school website.
Before & After School Care (BASC)
Before and After School Care is available at our Elementary Campus for K-8th grade from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students from our Middle School Campus ride the bus to/from our Elementary Campus for BASC. It is also available for students in Preschool and Pre-K and is held at the Crossroads Campus from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
During the final part of the online enrollment process, parents have the option to select before school care, after school care, or both. Changes to your selection can be made by contacting the Business Office.
Rates for Before & After School Care can be found with our Tuition & Fees Information.
Sign Up for Athletics, Fine Arts, & Extra-curricular Clubs
After your child is enrolled, you will begin receiving emails for any school activities that your child can get involved with. For 1st-8th grades, the Athletics, Fine Arts, and Extra-curricular Club opportunities are grade-level specific, and parents will be emailed with details, including cost, when registration opens.
At the high school level, students are notified via email and school announcements when “call out meetings” are scheduled for students who are interested in learning more about the team or club requirements.
Parent Involvement at ECS
We truly value partnership with parents to help make their child’s educational experience successful and meaningful. ECS has an active Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) which involves parents in volunteer opportunities, encourages fellowship, and raises funds for needs within the school.
Parents are also encouraged to get involved in a variety of roles, such as coaching elementary and middle school athletic teams or volunteering with fine arts, based on your areas of interest!
Chromebooks for Grades 6-12
Technology is not just an add-on to the training we give to students at ECS, it is vital to the curriculum across all grade levels. 6th-12th grade students are issued a Chromebook after the parent and student have completed the device usage expectations and submitted an acceptable use policy agreement.
Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten Independent in Restroom Policy
It is required that all students are independent in the restroom before the child’s first day in attendance at ECS. Please refer to our policy for specifications that define when a child is independent in the restroom.
Bus Transportation
Bus transportation is available among our campuses, which is beneficial for families who have students at multiple campuses and middle school students needing before and after school care. Additionally a bus route is available from Christian Fellowship Church (CFC) in the morning and returns students to CFC in the afternoon.
A new Bus Transportation Form must be filled out each school year and submitted to the Business Office.
Space is limited on all routes, and priority is given to students enrolled in Before and After School Care and to families with students at multiple campuses. Fees may apply, and detailed route information is available on the Bus Transportation Form available at school offices.
High School Student Parking
Parking is reserved for 10th-12th grade students who have valid parking passes. If parking privileges are granted, students must park in the designated lot.
Before driving to school, students and parents must complete the appropriate documents to obtain a parking pass and submit those to the high school office. Parking passes must be renewed annually.
