At Evansville Christian School, an extensive fine arts program inspires young minds, helps students discover their creative gifts, and addresses the various learning styles/interests among our students.  Further, the range of curricular and extracurricular opportunities assist in the development of a well-rounded student.

Our students are introduced to music and art in preschool and grow their skills through the years.  Licensed teachers teach all of our classes.  Preschool, pre-kindergarten, and kindergarten students perform and show what they have learned at our Christmas Chapel.  Kindergarten students also perform a special End-of-Year Celebration.

Music, art, and Spanish are weekly classes in Elementary School.  Highlights of our Elementary music curriculum are a Christmas musical with students acting, singing, and dancing (see our Youtube Channel for examples).  4th grade students also learn to play the recorder.  5th-8th grade students have the choice of band or music appreciation, and the opportunity to perform in a Spring musical as well as providing technical and backstage help.

Art is a required class for K-8th grade and allows students to develop an appreciation for art and explore a variety of mediums and techniques.

Spanish is required for 1st-7th grade.  Spanish I is an elective in 8th grade and students who earn an A or B will receive high school credit for 1st year Spanish.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities, including Praise Team, Spanish Club, Speech Team, and Art Club.

See the High School page for information on courses and opportunities for high school students.
