New Family Information
In The Know at ECS
We want to help make your family’s transition to ECS as smooth as possible. Most new parent questions are answered below, and more detailed information will be provided before your child’s first day at ECS. Also you can always reach out to your child’s campus office for any help along the way!
Important First Steps
As a new ECS family, you’ll first want to establish and save your login and passwords for these portals to ensure you receive timely communication from administration, teachers, and coaches.
FACTS Parent Portal Login
FACTS is our online School Information System where parents can find students’ schedules, grades, and more. You can also find and update family contact information, authorized adults on pick-up list, access FACTS Financial for billing, and more.
New parents established a username and password during the enrollment process, so keep this login information readily available.
Click here for the FACTS Family Portal and enter the District Code ECS-IN.
ParentSquare Login
ParentSquare is a powerful communication platform designed to keep you up-to-date on news and happenings at Evansville Christian School. ParentSquare offers a centralized way to interact with teachers, coaches, and the ECS community.
Parents who activate their accounts will enjoy additional features such as:
- Viewing photos
- Downloading attachments
- Messaging teachers
- Signing permission slips
- Managing communication preferences
Registration is vital to ensure you receive important notifications via text, email, and phone. You can set notification preferences once registered. We aim for 100% registration so that everyone can fully benefit from ParentSquare’s features to stay informed.
Follow ECS on Social Media
A great way to get an inside look into all of the exciting happenings across all ECS campuses is to follow us on social media!
Also follow our high school athletic teams on social media!
Communication from School & Teachers
The primary way that ECS communicates with parents is through email and ParentSquare. Parents are encouraged to thoroughly read all ECS communication to stay up-to-date on important information and events!
Every Friday during the school year, important school-wide information and events are shared through the Friday Flyer which is sent through ParentSquare and posted on the ECS Facebook page.
The superintendent, principals, and administrators send important updates and announcements via email and ParentSquare frequently. Preschool and elementary teachers send classroom information to parents often. At the middle and high school levels, we expect the students to take more ownership of their academic responsibilities, so fewer teacher-to-parent emails are sent for these grades. However parents should always feel welcome to contact a teacher to discuss their student.
Billing statements are emailed monthly through FACTS as well as important financial information from the Business Office.

School Calendar with Drop-Off & Dismissal Times

Medical Forms, Records, & Plans to Health Coordinator
ECS employs trained health coordinators at every campus.
In accordance with regulatory requirements and guidelines of the State of Indiana Board of Health, ECS is required to have a copy of the student’s physical and immunization history in the student’s file.
When a student has an Asthma Action Plan, Allergy Action Plan, or other medical plan, documentation that is signed by the physician must be updated each year and provided to the health coordinator before the first day of school.
At the high school level, the ECS Athletic Department adheres to IHSAA requirements, and a sports physical is required each year. Please refer to the ECS Athletics website for links to IHSAA forms.
When you request medical records to be sent to ECS, please email to [email protected] or fax to 812.469.0261.

Parent Involvement at ECS
We truly value partnership with parents to help make their child’s educational experience successful and meaningful. ECS has an active Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF) which involves parents in volunteer opportunities, encourages fellowship, and raises funds for needs within the school.
Parents are also encouraged to get involved in a variety of roles, such as coaching elementary and middle school athletic teams or volunteering with fine arts, based on your areas of interest!
Chromebooks for Grades 6-12
Technology is not just an add-on to the training we give to students at ECS, it is vital to the curriculum across all grade levels. 6th-12th grade students are issued a Chromebook after the parent and student have completed the device usage expectations and submitted an acceptable use policy agreement.

Additionally a bus route is available from Christian Fellowship Church (CFC) in the morning and returns students to CFC in the afternoon.
A new Bus Transportation Form must be filled out each school year and submitted to the Business Office.
Space is limited on all routes, and priority is given to students enrolled in Before and After School Care and to families with students at multiple campuses. Fees may apply, and detailed route information is available on the Bus Transportation Form available at school offices.
High School Student Parking
Parking is reserved for 10th-12th grade students who have valid parking passes. If parking privileges are granted, students must park in the designated lot.
Before driving to school, students and parents must complete the appropriate documents to obtain a parking pass and submit those to the high school office. Parking passes must be renewed annually.
